Guangzhou, June 20, 2010, Guangzhou Daily:Since Hu Shuli, a well-known media person, assumed the role of Dean of The School of Communication and Design in 2009, new measures for developing the school have been taken in succession. In an interview, Hu told the media that The School of Communication and Design is going to promote an "Enrollment and cultivation in large category" teaching pattern, and set up financial journalism major this year. Hu will give classes to undergraduate and teach them how to write financial news in September when the new semester starts.

As it's introduced by Hu, the "Enrollment and cultivation in large category" allows juniors to choose major according to their interest and the specialty setup after they have already learnt the general courses provided by the University and the foundation courses by the department or college during their freshman and sophomore years.
