Recently, the School of Life Sciences of Sun Yat-sen University, Agriculture Bureau of Qingyuan City and Guangdong Degaoxin Planting Co., Ltd. signed the Revitalization of Qingyuan Tea Industry Government-industry-university-research Cooperation Agreement in Huanghua Town, Yingde. The three sides will collaborate closely with each other in policy, education, research and production to create a new image for Qingyuan tea.

This collaboration is one of the important measures to implement the strategic cooperation framework between Qingyuan and Sun Yat-sen University, develop the project of variety-quality-brand and promote the transformation and upgrading of agricultural industry. Also, it provides Yingde with an opportunity to introduce and improve its agricultural variety, standard planting, industrial development and upgrading of deep-processing technology in a five-year period of cooperation.

It is learned that Degaoxin Planting Co., Ltd. launched the Degaoxin Tea Base Program in Yingde in 2010. The tea plantation mainly grows Yinghong No.9 and its own patented cocoa tea, with an estimated total tea plantation area of 5,000 mu this year.
