The 9th workshop of TeV physics working group was held in the School of Physics and Engineering of Sun Yat-sen university (SYSU) on May 15-18, 2014.

Outstanding physicists, such as Prof. Nima Arkani-Hamed from the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, Prof. Gordon Kane from the University of Michigan, Prof. Henry Tye from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Prof. C. P. Yuan from Michigan State University, were invited to give talks in this workshop.

There are over 130 participants from China (including Mainland, Taiwan, and Hong Kong), USA, Japan, Spain, and other countries and regions. About 50 talks were arranged to discuss the hot issues on TeV physics and other related physics.

The workshop is held at the time when LHC is going to be run at 14 TeV and the proposals of CEPC and SppC in China are under discussion. The workshop provides an opportunity for the researchers at SYSU to communicate with academic circles at home and abroad, enhancing the influence and reputation of the university. This workshop was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Tsinghua University, China Center of Advanced Science and Technology, and Sun Yat-sen University.
