On August 16, The 2012 China Hospital Forum sponsored by Chinese Hospital Association was held at China National Convention Center in Beijing. He Luli, Former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Chen Zhu, Minister of Health, Huang Jiefu, Vice Minister of Health and President of Chinese Hospital Association, Ma Xiaowei, Vice Minister of Health, Ren Guoquan, Director of Health Department of The PLA General Logistics Department, and Cao Ronggui, Honorary President of Chinese Hospital Association, attended the forum. Vice presidents of Chinese Hospital Association, directors of Provincial/ Municipal Department of Health and presidents of hospital associations, health officials, experts, professors and hospital administrators from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and foreign countries, a total of over 3,300 people took part in the forum.

At the forum, Minister of Health Chen Zhu, Vice Minister of Health Huang Jiefu and Vice Minister of Health Ma Xiaowei delivered a speech respectively. The award ceremonies of Chinese Hospital Management Outstanding Contribution Award, Excellent Hospital President Award, and Chinese Hospital Association Hospital Scientific and Technological Innovation Award were also held during the forum.

Prof. Wang Tinghuai, Deputy Director of Faculty of Medical Sciences, SYSU and President of Macao Kiang Wu Hospital, and Xie Canmao, Professor of Internal Medicine and Deputy President of The First Affiliated Hospital, were invited to attend the forum and presented a lecture entitled “Tradition and Innovation of Macao Medical Service” and “Innovation is the Soul of Building People Assured Demonstration Hospital” respectively.

China Hospital Forum is the most authoritative and highest level forum on hospital management sponsored by Chinese Hospital Association with the aim of “building communication platform, promoting hospital reform and development”. The theme of 2012 China Hospital Forum is to “focus on internal construction, constantly improve management”. The forum arranges 12 special activities and nearly 50 lecture topics, including key clinical specialties construction, hospital accreditation, medical quality and safety, county hospital capability construction, digital hospital construction, hospital culture construction, building harmonious doctor-patient relationship, commending people assured demonstration hospital and exchanging experience, management and innovation of medical imaging sciences and clinical laboratory sciences, sharing experience of hospital management in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The forum centers on management, hot issues of social concern and difficult issues in the industry, and highlights hospital and medical quality, safety, service, responsibility and environment. The participants exchange experience and share results on strengthening hospital internal construction and constantly improving management from various angles and at various levels.
