Recently, the Department of Cardiac Surgery and the Department of Organ Transplantation of The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University successfully performed a simultaneous heart-kidney transplantation surgery. After the surgery, the patient recovered well; no serious infection, acute or chronic rejection or postoperative complication was found; and the patient has already been discharged. It is learned that, at present, there are not many cases of simultaneous heart-kidney transplantation at home and abroad, and in China, only 8 cases are reported.
