On September 8, the founding conference of Hepatopathy Doctor Working Committee of Guangdong Medical Doctor Association was held in The Third Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University. Over a hundred experts in the fields of infectious diseases, gastroenterology and hepatic surgery from across Guangdong province attended the conference. Professor Li Gang at Department of Infectious Diseases of The Third Affiliated Hospital was elected as Chairman of the First Hepatopathy Doctor Working Committee of Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, and Dr. Wang Genshu was elected as a standing member of the Working Committee.
The preparation and establishment of Hepatopathy Doctor Working Committee has been supported by Guangdong Medical Doctor Association and big hospitals in Guangdong province. Many specialists including Professor Li Gang have done a lot of preparation work. The result of the election indicates the hepatopathy specialists’ approval and recognition of the academic level of The Third Affiliated Hospital in the field of infectious diseases, and will promote the development of the disciplines of hepatopathy and infectious diseases in The Third Affiliated Hospital.
