From December 6th to 11th, 2015, a group of more than 55 EMBA students from Antwerp Management School had a study tour in Lingnan (University) College at Sun Yat-sen University. They participated in a series of lectures and company visits during the trip.


The first lecture was delivered by Prof. Liu Mingkang, Honorary Dean of Lingnan (University) College and former Chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission. Prof. Liu talked about Chinese Economic Challenges and Opportunities with massive graphs and statistics. He first gave a brief overview of current situation of China’s Economy, then he pointed out the opportunities in the face of the challenges, and in the end, put forward eight policy suggestions. The lecture earned high compliments from all the participants as it presented a great deal of statistics and gave an in-depth insight of Chinese economy.


Company visits to Guangdong Jianye Textile Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Foshan Shiwan Eagle Brand Ceramics Co., Ltd. were arranged, where EMBA students could visit different manufacturing industries and discuss with the management teams on various topics such as company operations, business models, strategy development, etc.
