On the afternoon of May 23^rd, Dr. Raj Thampuran, President of Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC), and two other members visited our university. Wei Minghai, Vice President of SYSU, met with the guests at the VIP hall in Zhong Shan Building. During the meeting, President Xu Ningsheng came specially to talk with the delegation.

Over the course of the meeting, President Raj Thampuran presented a detailed introduction on the cooperation between SERC and Chinese universities and enterprises, as well as an introduction on its affiliated research institutes. Vice President Wei listened to the introductions carefully, and also gave a brief presentation on the researches in science departments. He also proposed suggestions on the cooperation of related international projects. Wang Biao, Dean of School of Physics and Engineering, and Xu Yao, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, were also present at the conference.
