In recent days, in order to improve the substantial development of medical courses in general of SYSY, to better service Guangdong Province, and to make contribution to building a happy Guangdong, , President of Sun Yat-Sen University, Professor Xu Ningsheng, leading the directors or secretaries of all affiliated hospitals of Sun Yat-Sen University and the deans of some Medical Schools, to meet the relevant leaders of Health Department of Guangdong Province, Guangzhou Municipal Government, Guangzhou Municipal Health Bureau. Vice President Wang Jianping and Vice President Li Mengfeng also presented the meeting.

Vice President Wang Jianping, Vice President Li Mengfeng, some directors of affiliated hospitals of SYSU, the dean of School of Public Health and other staff gave reports to vice chairman of Provincial Chinese People's Political Consultative Committee, general director of Health Department Mr. Yao Zhibin, deputy mayor of Guangzhou City Ms. Gong Erzhen, deputy secretary-general of Guangzhou Municipal Government Mr. Zhao Nanxian, general director of Health Bureau Mr. Huang Jionglie and other relevant leaders of provincial and municipal health administrative departments respectively, about the development and medical education and scientific research of the affiliated hospitals of our university and Medical Schools. President Xu Ningsheng expressed that, Sun Yat-Sen University would further improve the cooperation between our university and provincial and municipal health administrative departments, make a greater contribution to local social and economic developments.

Vice Chairman Mr. Yao Zhibin, Deputy MAyor Ms. Gong Erzhen, Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Zhao Nanxian, General Director Mr. Huang Jionglie expressed a warm welcome to the visit of President Xu Ningsheng and his team, and highly appreciated the contribution made by our university’s affiliated hospitals to the medical industry, medical education and scientific research of Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City, considering the affiliated hospitals of our university as the flagship of provincial medical industry, the first medical group of Guangzhou. They also expressed that would support our university all the time.

This visit has enhanced the connection and communication between our university and provincial and municipal health departments, providing more favourable external condition for the development of our university’s medical education. The relevant peoples-in-charge of Health Department of Guangdong Province, Guangzhou Municipal Government, and Guangzhou Municipal Health Bureau, the director of President’s Office Mr. Chen Wangnan and director of Hospital Administration Department Ms. Han Ling also attended the meeting.
