On the morning of June 7th, Ito Shigeru, president of Japan Shin-kobe Electric Machinery Co., Ltd, the second largest battery production company of Japan, member company of Hitachi Corp, visited SYSU to find technological cooperation in the field of battery researching. Xia Huiliang, Assistant President of SYSU, and comrades of science schools and the Science & Technology Office of SYSU had an informal discussion with the guests.

At the meeting, Xia Huiliang briefed about the basic state of disciplines and science researching of SYSU to President Ito Shigeru. President Ito Shigeru in return, presented the basic situation of Shin-kobe Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. Experts from both sides communicated on the technological problems of lead-acid battery, and identified an initial project. After the meeting, President Ito Shigeru visited relevant labs of SYSU.
