On the day of Dec.22^nd, Huang Daren, President of SYSU, Xu Ningsheng, Deputy-president of SYSU, Wang Biao, Dean of the School of Physics and Engineering, Xia Lianghui, Assistant to the President of SYSU, Wei Haiming, Assistant to the President of SYSU, and He Yu, General Manager of the China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group met in Beijing Office of the China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group and talked about the cooperation affairs reference to/ regarding the Sino-French nuclear science and technology R & D Center to be set up at SYSU. CSU Yao, Deputy-director of the department of international cooperation and exchange, Liu Kaixin, Assistant general manager and director of office, and Zhang Yubin, Secretary of general manager also attended the meeting.

Huang Daren, President of SYSU, presented the background of the proposed construction of the Sino-French nuclear science and technology research and development center, the progress and cooperation proposals, and hoped that, on the one hand, China Guangdong Nuclear Group would focus the R & D center construction, development and support, and on the other hand, they would provide students from SYSU with relevant professional practice base. Meanwhile, the French nuclear-related enterprises are eager to cooperate with Chinese enterprises to carry out substantive cooperation in the related fields. Through the establishment of research and development center, SYSU also serves as a bridge between Chinese and French enterprises in promoting cooperation and development.

He Yu was convinced of Research and Development Center and said that the China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group is willing to participate in and support the construction of the Research and DevelopmentCenter. China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group would build nuclear power industrial parks in Nansha, Taishan and Shenzhen, which demanded a great deal of technical support and personal/talents training. He also claimed that we should reference the training system and the education of the French, which is so successful.

On the day of Dec.23rd, in a meeting where Xu Ningsheng, Deputy-president of SYSU, Anne Rowe, CEO of French Areva and Wang Yang were present, Qian Zhimin, Chairman of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, told Xu that the group would offer strong support for the nuclear scientific research and talent training.
