On June 14 2017, Clarivate released its
Journal Citation Reports awarding
the Chinese Journal of Cancer (
CJC) an improved impact factor 4.111. The journal is now one of the most influential SCI journals in the second quartile (Q2), and ranks at the top of oncology journals in mainland China.
The
CJC is an academic journal of oncology supervised by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center (SYSUCC). Under the support of strong scientific research resources from SYSUCC and following the international publishing mode of its cooperative publisher Springer-Nature, it has become a key platform for scientific achievements in the field of oncology.
CJC’s editorial team has focused on its primary objectives: “delivering the latest advances in oncology and increasing international scientific exchanges” and followed its operational concept of making high quality journals, and benefiting society. Under its efforts,
CJC’s international impact continues to rise. It has received the title of “The Highest International Impact Academic Journal of China”, and has been included in PubMed, SCI, Scopus and other international databases. Since its SCI inclusion, its impact factor has increased from 2.155 in 2014, to 2.814 in 2015, and now 4.111 in 2016.
The
CJC will keep pursuing its goal to be an internationally reputable journal. It welcomes papers from all over the world. It has developed a professional group of reviewers from famous international scholars. As it is the official journal of the United States Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, the
CJC wins support from overseas senior scientists. Its cooperation with Springer Nature helped
CJC standardize its review process in applying international styles and conventions.
The
CJC focuses on the frontier of cancer research, especially common cancer diseases in China and Asia. It has published a number of thematic series on clinical research information, huge breakthroughs and advanced treatment for certain diseases including nasopharyngeal carcinoma, esophageal cancer, stomach cancer and liver cancer.
Currently cancer treatment involves multi-disciplinary collaboration and requires interdisciplinary exchanges. The
CJC is working together with its researchers and readers to produce and document this development.
