Recently, Jiang Chun, associate professor from the Department of Urinary Surgery of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital and member of the second Chinese Medical Team in Ghana, gave a health lecture and medicine to over 100 staff from Huawei Technologies Ghana.
Targeted at the most common urinary disease among Chinese in Ghana, Associate Professor Jiang Chun gave a lecture entitled "Prevention and Treatment of Urinary System Calculus”. He briefly introduced the causes, typical clinical manifestation and the harm of urinary calculus; took typical clinical cases as examples to stress the matters that need special attention in the process of diagnosis and treatment, and corrected some wrong conceptions and habits; and provided suggestions on how to prevent calculus in daily life and diet. The lecture was informative and easy to understand. He answered the questions from the audience in details and gave them treatment advice. After the lecture, on behalf of the Chinese Medical Team, Associate Professor Jiang Chun presented medicine to Huawei Technologies Ghana. The activity received warm welcome and good response from the staff.
It is learned that since his arrival in Ghana, while providing medical technology assistance and high quality medical services to the local people, Associate Professor Jiang Chun regarded protecting the health of Chinese in Ghana as his duty. During over one year in Ghana, he has given health lectures, medical consultation and free medicine to Chinese institutions and enterprises, and provided prompt, efficient and high-quality medical services to over one hundred Chinese in Ghana. His exquisite medical skills and high sense of responsibility won him recognition from Ghanaian doctors and welcome from the local people, achieving good social benefit and contributing to the friendship and trade between China and Africa.
