Recently, the 150th topic lecture of “Medical Lecture” — "CLSI Clinical and Laboratory Testing Standards Globalization Lecture" was held in Lecture Hall, Science Building, North Campus. Over 300 experts of medical laboratory testing and technical backbones from medical institutions in Guangdong participated in this academic event.

Chairman of Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute, Dr. Mary Lou Gantzer, CEO Mr. Glen Fine, and Chief expert representative Dr. Tony Chan from Da An Health, lectured to the audience on the topic of “High quality Medical Care Service”, "Exploration on Clinical Laboratory Standard Globalization” and “Development of Medical Laboratory and Standards” respectively. During these lectures, they introduced CLSI’s background, organization structure and current developmental progress, elaborated on the importance of medical laboratory construction from different angles, and pointed out that laboratory standard globalization was an inevitable trend.

"Medical Lecture -- Guangdong Medical Forefront Lecture Tours”, the high-end medical education activity held by Continued Medical Education Center of Zhongshan School of Medicine, SYSU and commissioned by Department of Public Health of Guangdong Province, promotes advanced medical concept and medical culture in the way of topic lectures. Since May, 2011, more than 150 lectures were held and warmly welcomed in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan, Meizhou, Maoming, Yunfu and so on, with over 20,000 audiences.
