A signing ceremony for the sustained cooperation of medical services between Italian Consulate General in Guangzhou and the First Affiliated Hospital was held on the morning of apr.28th. M ju, Consul General of the Italian Consulate- General in Guangzhou, and Wang Shengming, president of the First Affiliated Hospital, had signed the continuance of medical services agreement,on behalf of the two sides. According to the agreement, the First Affiliated Hospital will be designated as a reliable medical institution by the Italian Consulate General in Guangzhou, providing medical services to Italian citizens, medical care treatment, medical certificates and, if necessaryin the search for other local medical institutions, specialist treatment, cooperation, and other services for Italian citizens. When the Italians seek medical consultation at the First Affiliated Hospital, they should comply with relevant provisions of Chinese law and take appropriate medical treatment. President Wang Shengming stated in the speech that, as Guangzhou has more contact with other nations, people are coming to Guangzhou for traveling, working and living purposes. As a reputed comprehensive hospital in south china, the First Affiliated Hospital is dedicated to the international friends in Guangzhou to provide first-class medical facilities, high-end medical services and quality health care. This cooperation of the two sides will not only meet the medical and healthcare needs of the Italians, it will also help promote the Italian subsidiary of a hospital medical institutions and exchanges and cooperation. Meanwhile this will become a hospital subsidiary model of cooperation with foreign institutions for Hospital centenary add color luster.
Consul general M Ju at the signing ceremony remarked that it is the first time that the Consulate General in Guangzhou has signed the continuance of agreement with the First Affiliated Hospital. The agreement will allow more and more Italians in Guangzhou to enjoy high quality medical services and health care, with the hope of taking this opportunity towards the Italian health care system and health system in Guangdong Province as the first step of cooperation, to facilitate and create more opportunities for future cooperation.
