December 4^th, the award Ceremony for the 2008-2009 school year Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Scholarship was held in the Swasey Hall of the South Campus. Deputy Secretary of the university’s Party Committee, Zhu Kongjun, chairman of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (China) Ltd. And president of Guangzhou Branch, Yoshihiko Kawabata, and person from the university’s Students’ Affairs were present at the ceremony.

After Mr. Yoshihiko Kawabata had addressed the presentation ceremony, the Deputy Director General of Student Office Chen Changling started reading out the rewarding decision. The present guests awarded prizes to 18 award-winning students.
