14 days, 22 college students, 3 teachers, the coldest weather in 100 years, 1800 miles of journey, 7 Confucius Institutes, 10 Performances, over 3000 audience…

Jan. 29th-Feb.13th, a period fell into the traditional Chinese Spring Festival for the year of dragon. During the period, in spite of the coldest weather in a century in Europe and the long journey of 1800 miles to France, the art troupe of our university presented tour shows, themed as “Spring Festival Gala of Confucius Institutes”, in seven Confucius Institutes and several other teaching schools in Paris, Toulouse, Grenoble, Lyon, Clemont-Ferrand, Alsace and Metz. The audience included: Zhou Li, Acting Consul General of Consulate General of China in Strasbourg; officers from Education Department of Chinese Embassy in France; Heidel, Vice President of Alsace Regional Council; members of French Parliament; P.Cohen, Mayor of Toulouse City; G.Verniol, First Deputy Mayor of Toulouse and leaders of Chinese residents and business in France. They all spoke highly of the shows, and expressed their sincere thanks to the actors for their marvelous performance.
