The Final of the 11th KPMG Corporate Culture Case Analysis Competition held on Zhuhai Campus

On April 27, the Final of the 11th KPMG Corporate Culture Case Analysis Competition was held on Zhuhai Campus. The competition was jointly organized by SYSU Youth Association, the CYL Zhuhai Municipal Committee, Lingnan College and Zhuhai Enterprise Culture Association. The judge panel consisted of Associate Professor Bai Yuntao from Xiamen University, Associate Professor Bai Jing from South China University of Technology, Assistant Professor Chu Kuok Kun from University of Macau, Associate Professor Rao Yong, Professor Xia Nanxin, Professor He Xingqiang, Associate Professor Guan Zhisheng, Associate Professor Liu Hong and Associate Professor Wu Yingxin from Sun Yat-sen University.

The theme of this year’s competition is Innovating. After rounds of intense competition, twelve teams entered the final. They are from University of Science and Technology of China, Xiamen University, University of Macau, Hong Kong Baptist University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Jinan University, South China Normal University, South China Agricultural University, South China University of Technology, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and Sun Yat-sen University.

The final consisted of three sections: presentation in English, opposing questioning and impromptu case study. Twelve teams analyzed corporate culture from many angles and perspectives, explained the issues and solutions in corporate development, and showed their English language skills, logical thinking ability, research and analytical ability, and team work spirit. After three rounds of fierce competition, team Super Mario from The Chinese University of Hong Kong became the biggest winner. Super Mario won the champion and its team member Shu Haoran was awarded the best contestant. Jinan University was the first runner-up and South China University of Technology was the second runner-up.

After ten years of development, the KPMG Corporate Culture Case Analysis Competition has gained national reputation and influence, attracting outstanding competitors from mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao. It aims at cultivating students’ innovation and teamwork spirit, and providing them with a stage to show their talents and to share their thoughts and experience.
