On the afternoon of May 18th, the expert panel of Guangdong Science and Technology Bureau reviewed the Laboratory Animal Center on East Campus of SYSU on its application for licenses of breeding or using experimental animals. Li Mengfeng, the vice president of SYSU was present at the site review meeting.

By the site reviewing procedure of Guangdong Laboratory Animal Permit, the expert panel listened to the report of Director Huang Zhiying from the Laboratory Animal Center, examined Vice President Li Mengfeng,who was in charge of the center, in oral and written forms, and evaluated the theoretical and operated performance of laboratory technicians and animal breeders. In addition, they checked the facilities for animal breeding and animal experiments on spot, and verified original materials and the operational records of facilities.

After panel hearing, the experts passed the license of breeding or using experimental animals to the Laboratory Animal Center of SYSU (East Campus) for its high score in the site review.
