On the afternoon of July 8, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation outline agreement by the School of Software, School of International Chinese, and Research & Training Base for International Chinese Textbook took place on the east campus. Li Wenjun, president of School of Software, and Zhou Xiaobing, president of School of International Chinese as well as director of the base, signed the agreement on behalf of the three sides. According to the agreement, the three sides will co-construct a “Joint laboratory for the dissemination of international Chinese language and culture”. Guided by talents cultivation and scientific research cooperation and starting from software program cooperation and outsource, the three sides will conduct all-round cooperation in teaching, scientific research, industry development and social service, etc. They expect to build an interdisciplinary platform for the collective exploration of the application of IT technology in the research & development of Chinese textbook and the dissemination of Chinese language and culture, so as to achieve mutual benefit and common development.
At present, Research & Training Base for International Chinese Textbook has carried out substantive cooperation with the School of Software: the information database construction program for international Chinese text book has already been approved and initiated. Meanwhile, the two sides plan to develop extensive cooperation in multi-media supports for Chinese textbook, development of the assisted software for Chinese study, network design for teaching resources, research & development of the virtual experience center for Chinese culture, distance network teaching, etc. Base on scientific research cooperation, the School of Software and the School of International cooperation will exert their respect disciplinary advantages and make a try to cooperate in the joint training of undergraduate students and graduate students.
